Nipper Has Strong Weekend in Bama |
|
Penton, AL (July 18th) - On
Friday night Jordy competed in a NeSmith Crate Series event on
the Penton Raceway in Alabama. Jordy had a fair night with 14th
place qualifying run, and on what turned out to be a hard one
groove track Jordy worked his way a 12th place finish. 48 cars
entered the event, 24 started the feature and Jordy made the
feature event after winning his B-main which was the 4th B-main
of the night.
Phoenix City, AL (July 19th) -
Jordy Nipper was back in action Saturday Night at the East
Alabama Motor Speedway for NeSmith Crate Series Sanctioned event
paying $2,500 to win. With 38 cars signed and Jordy looking to
be one of the fastest cars in hot laps qualifying seemed it
would come easily. However after some minor errors on
adjustments Jordy ended up with an 18th place qualifying time.
This put the "Lil Nip" in one of the B-mains starting 4th. Jordy
would have to race his way into the feature event and that is
exactly what he did winning his B-main outright and earning an
11th place starting position for the feature. With a short race
ahead of him Jordy knew he could waste no time. Jordy quickly
moved through the field and walked away with a respectable 6th
place finish. |

|
Cochran, GA (July 12th) - The original
Independence Day Special at the Cochran Motor Speedway in
Cochran, Georgia was rained out last weekend on July 5th and
rescheduled for this past weekend on July 12th. There were 24
cars signed in to qualify and Jordy Nipper wasted no time
keeping up his strong running over the past month. Going into
this event Jordy had not finished outside of the top 10 in his
past four events, and has won two of those last four. This night
Jordy set fast time in his TNT Chassis of those 24 cars, and
when the green flag flew Jordy quickly dashed to the lead on the
newly configured shorten version of Cochran Motor Speedway after
making changes to shorten the track and bringing in new clay to
make the racing better. Well the new changes were to Jordy
Nipper's liking as he had the field covered and took the
checkered flag and the $2,000 first place prize. |

Sylvania,

on the Rocket Chassis Mike Stewart owned Universal Concrete
sponsor machine after rain halted racing Friday night May 23rd
for the first of two nights of racing for the NeSmith Crate Late
Model Series at Swainsboro Raceway. The second night of racing
at the confines of Screven Motor Speedway saw 27 cars enter in
the $3,000 to win event with Jordy qualifying 6th with a time of

Nipper Back to Winning Ways in the Boro |
|
Swainsboro,
GA (May 17) - Jordy Nipper got into a new racing suit
and back into his winning ways in the crate late model class at
the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA. As the feature events
began with the R & R Electrical Crate Late Model division,
several drivers were trying to prepare for the May 23 Nesmith
Crate Late Model event. Battling an extremely slick race track,
Robert Diekemper took the lead and Hunter Peacock fell into
second. Just after the half way point, Hunter Peacock spun
giving the second position to Terry Lumley. With five laps to
go, Diekemper continued to lead the way and Brandon Overton took
over the second position as Lumley began to fall back in the
pack. Five laps after bringing out the caution Hunter Peacock
seemed to have the fastest car on the track as he made his way
back to fourth. Four laps to go, Jordy Nipper took over the
second position. After taking the white flag, racing side by
side all the way off turn two, Jordy Nipper went to the inside
and Robert Diekemper to the outside. Coming off turn four with a
strong battle to the finish, Diekemper spun and Jordy Nipper
took the checkered. Second place Brandon Overton, third Hunter
Peacock, fourth Gene Nasworthy, and fifth William Horton, Jr.
This makes Jordy's 3rd win of the season which have all came at
the Swainsboro Raceway in the Crate Late Model ranks. Jordy won
this race from behind the wheel of the Mike Stewart owned,
Universal Concrete Sponsored Rocket Chassis prepared by the
Against the Wind Racing Crew including Scotty Nipper and Wild
Bill Denton.

Pinetree Festival - Swainsboro Raceway Results |
|
Swainsboro, GA (May 2nd & 3rd) - Jordy
Nipper headed back to Swainsboro Georgia where he has dominated
so far this year in every crate late model appearance at the
Paul Purvis owned facility. However the streak finally ended
after some struggles with track conditions changing Friday night
Jordy was running second before getting loose and sliding high
in his heat race and falling to a fourth place finish. This put
Jordy starting on the 4th row for Saturday night's feature.
However luck was not on Jordy's side after making contact with
another car Jordy slid out of the top 10 and never made it back
before the race was done.
Jordy would like to thank special sponsors
for this race, Mike Stewart for supplying the Rocket Chassis
Universal Concrete sponsored ride allowing him to compete. Check
back later in the week to find out where to catch Jordy Nipper
next. Photo by South Bound

Jordy Nipper Continues Crate Domination at the Boro's |
|
Swainsboro, GA (April 26th) - Jordy Nipper wheeled
into the historic Swainsboro Raceway for the third time this
season and walked away with another victory keeping Jordy's
average at 100% for crate races at the Paul Purvis ran facility.
Jordy seems to have the number for the new configuration in a
crate car at Swainsboro. Crew Chief Scotty Nipper said, "we
needed this one to get the monkey off our back and shack off all
this bad luck the past three or four weeks". The weekly
format at Swainsboro Raceway includes heat race action which
Jordy took the win in heat race #2 and gave him the right to
start on the outside pole of the 16 car feature field. This victory also
helped Jordy for the coming weekend, as his initial intentions
were to dial in the Mike Stewart Owned, Universal Concrete
sponsored, Rocket Chassis car for this coming weekend's big event at
Swainsboro paying $2,000 to win in the crate late model class.
You can catch Jordy at Swainsboro Raceway for that event this
Friday and Saturday night May 2nd & 3rd in attempt to go back to
back and add a third win to his resume' for this year.
