Nipper Has Hot Run on Hot Night in Screven Before Rubber Fails

Sylvania, GA - Screven Motor Speedway hosted the O'reilly Southern All Star super late model series Saturday June 27th, for a $5000 to win 50 lap feature event. 21 cars took time Saturday afternoon for starting positions in the feature event. Nipper's luck was on the bad side during qualifying, win entering turn 1 on his first lap a rear end gear broke on the car. After replacing the gear, nipper had to start the feature from the tail end in 21st starting position. When the green flag feel Jordy was on a tear up through the field using the high line Nipper made it all the way to the 5th position in 9 laps before a right rear tire was cut down due to debree on the racing surface. Jordy replace the flatten tire and return the racing action however, the new rubber was not the tire of choice and Jordy's charge was halted. Jordy had to settle for dismal 17th place finish. The crew will regroup and try their luck this weekend, to find out where that will be check back here to the official news source for the Against the Wind Racing Team.

Against the Wind Racing using Weekly Events to build Momentum in 2009
