Fails |
|
Sylvania,
GA - Screven Motor Speedway hosted the O'reilly Southern
All Star super late model series Saturday June 27th, for a
$5000 to win 50 lap feature event. 21 cars took time
Saturday afternoon for starting positions in the feature
event. Nipper's luck was on the bad side during qualifying,
win entering turn 1 on his first lap a rear end gear broke
on the car. After replacing the gear, nipper had to start
the feature from the tail end in 21st starting position.
When the green flag feel Jordy was on a tear up through the
field using the high line Nipper made it all the way to the
5th position
in 9 laps before a right rear tire was cut down due to
debree on the racing surface. Jordy replace the flatten tire
and return the racing action however, the new rubber was not
the tire of choice and Jordy's charge was halted. Jordy had
to settle for dismal 17th place finish. The crew will
regroup and try their luck this weekend, to find out where
that will be check back here to the official news source for

Against the Wind Racing using
Weekly Events to build Momentum in 2009 |
|
Cochran,
GA - With not much big money or sanctioned bodied racing
going on in the south Georgia area, the Against the Wind
Racing team stayed near the house for two weeks to tweak on
their program and gear up for the road events to come. April
4th saw a rain out at the Swainsboro Raceway's Lucas Oil
event so Jordy Nipper and crew rolled a closer home at what
could be considered their home track of Cochran Motor
Speedway. Jordy tried his luck in the weekly late model
division with him crate motor under the hood and rolled a
6th place finish for the weekend. The next week April 11th
the crew would return and better their luck with a 4th place
finish in the big class with a little motor. The team will
gear up this coming weekend for an Alabama swing with United
Dirt Late Model Challenge Series events at Penton Raceway on
Friday April 17th paying $2500 to win and Saturday the 2nd
annual Alabama Clash paying $4,000 to win.
